When you build a home with Meyer Custom Builders, you are building a house with Doug Meyer, the principal of Meyer Builders Custom Homes, who is passionate about - and dedicated to -building quality homes that his customers will love and enjoy for years to come.

Doug's construction career began in the Air Force, where he had extensive training in structural steel fabrication. After leaving the Air Force, Doug pursued a career in this field, rising to Division Manager for one of the most prominent steel fabrication companies in the world.  After eight years, including stints in both Spain and Italy, Doug began remodeling homes in his spare time.  Eventually, he chose to follow his dream and his passion for construction.  In 1985 he established Meyer Builders and Home Remodelers. A few years later, Doug designed and built his first custom home under the name Meyer Builders Custom Homes, and today enjoys a reputation as one of the finest builders in the Greater Cincinnati area.

An important aspect of building a home with Doug Meyer and Meyer Custom Builders is the emphasis on personal attention. Each customer receives a pre-construction meeting at the job site, one-on-one attention from their sales professional throughout the construction process, a pre-close inspection with the production manager and a final pre-closing inspection with the job superintendent. Since the sales professional has been with the customer since the beginning, they will follow up with a courtesy call 30 days after the closing to assure that the client is completely satisfied. Then, as part of their one year limited warranty, the customer service department conducts 30 day and 11 month customer service inspections.

Since the company's inception in 1985, Doug Meyer has utilized a dedicated team of employees, subcontractors and suppliers. Customer satisfaction is paramount to all other concerns, and Doug instills this thought process throughout the whole of Meyer Custom Builders. "A company is only as good as its staff, and we have a great group of people who have grown with the company," says Doug.

"They are all professionals who share the same work ethics as I do. We are not just building a house. We are building a home."

Finally, Doug says that he is especially proud of the number of family referrals the company receives, which is just about as high a complement as one can get in this business. "Referrals are a huge point of pride for us," says Doug. "and we hope to continue to earn this privilege as long as we are building homes."
